Max is a black tuxedo F1 cockapoo from Jukee Doodles. His Mum is Molly, a black cocker spaniel and his Dad is Ziggy, an apricot and white parti miniature poodle.
Max is 7 years old and has been neutered. He's the happiest dog you can ever meet. He loves to swim, play ball and go on long walks, and he absolutely loves snow! He can usually be found laying at my feet or at my side. He loves playing with other dogs.
He has a very curly coat, which we usually keep short, I think he suits it and it stops him from getting so covered in sticky plants when we walk across the fields and from soaking up water like a sponge in the winter!
Polly started life as a chocolate sable tuxedo but has turned into a cafe au lait tuxedo F1 cockapoo, from Jukee Doodles. Her Mum is Bramble, a liver and white working cocker spaniel and her Dad is Uncle Fester, a cafe au lait miniature poodle.
Polly is 5 years old and very cuddly. She loves nothing more than to cuddle up by my side, and unlike Max, she will sit still and go to sleep! Polly turns into a bit of a demon when the ball thrower comes out, she loves to play so much! She also loves walking and paddling, she loves the seaside, especially jumping the waves. She took to motherhood so naturally, and I am so very proud of her. We can't wait to do it again!
Polly and Max are first cousins once removed!
Polly is DNA clear by parentage for both the prcd PRA eye disease and the FN kidney disease which means that none of our puppies will develop these two diseases.
Polly has a curly coat which tends to matt if it gets too long, so we like to keep her reasonably short.
Her first litter of puppies were black, blond and blue roan.
Polly's second litter was born on 16th May 2017 and were black and varying shades of blond.
Polly's third litter is due beginning of August 2018.
Sookie is a Red F1 Cockapoo from Jukee Doodles. Her Mum is Flo, a red working cocker spaniel and her Dad is Oscar, a red miniature poodle from Dominos Cockapoos.
Sookie is now 2 years old. She weighed just 1.6kg when I collected her at 8 weeks. At 4.5 months she was 5.2kg, and she is now settled around 8.9kg, so a smaller cockapoo - the children love snuggling with her as she is easy to move around!!
Sookie is friendly, feisty, lovable, cuddly and playful. She gets on brilliantly with all our dogs, and doesn't seem to care that she is the smallest. She loves to wrestle with Max, Trixie and Buddy and playing and snuggling with Polly and Lola. She loves playing with toys, chewing on antlers and chasing the ball, although she always seems a bit lost as to what to do with it, on the odd occasion that she is first to get it!
Sookie has a natural talent for swimming! She loves playing on the beach and follows Max into the water.
Sookie's red coat has faded a bit (due to the sable!), but it is still a gorgeous colour, especially in the sunshine. Her coat is wavy, not curly.
Sookie's first husband was Jukee Doodles' F1 Chocolate Sable cockapoo Woody III, making an F2 litter. There were three puppies - two chocolate and a red, and they have all now settled in well to their forever homes.
After much thought and soul searching, I decided to get Sookie spayed and have no more litters from her. Her first litter (of 3 puppies), she had one puppy with an underbite, one with a hernia and I have recently heard that the other puppy is going in for surgery on his 2 knees for luxating patella. As you can imagine I am very saddened by this as my aim has always been to breed healthy puppies that are a good example of the breed.
Sookie is a fabulous Auntie to Polly's pups, and will of course be staying here with us.
Lola is an F2 dark blond sable from Polly's 2nd litter. There are lots more photos of her, on her litter page - HERE
She is the most amazing pup and I am over the moon with her. She has been so well behaved, is confident, happy, sociable and just a dream. She is loving and sweet and will make an amazing Mum in the future.
I hope to have an F3 or maybe an F2 litter from her in 2019, as long as I can find the perfect stud!
Lola is now 1 year old, and continues to be the best dog ever. She adores all other dogs and loves playing with our Komondors - we think that she thinks she is part kom!! She is confident, sociable and loves to play with her Mum and Sookie, and her siblings when she gets to meet up with them. She submits to our big dogs when needed, and loves cuddles with all her humans. She loves her food and is stockily built and weighs 14kgs.
Some photos of our cockapoos (and komondors), they truly are best friends
