After yesterdays attempts to escape the whelping box, I have today set up a crate and pen for the puppies and Polly when she is feeding them. They have been playing, and I sat in with them and they all came over for cuddles and the odd tummy rub (red collar boy!) They are really playful already, considering they have only been walking since Monday! Looking at this photo makes me look forward to Polly's next litter already, because by that time the walls will all have been plastered and painted, and my new cupboards will be installed! However, the puppies don't seem to mind, and the new floor tiles (thanks Dad!) are fantastic. My brief to him and Jim when Polly came into season back at the end of May, was "just make the room functional!" and so far it has served it's purpose well.
I am still getting a steady trickle of enquiries, and today the green collared boy has been reserved, pending a visit later in the week. So there are now 3 puppies available, all have a wavy coat already. 1 boy - black collar (he's the lightest of the blonde boys and a real character! He stood whining at the bars calling to Max, who isn't allowed in the room still and was waiting patiently in the doorway!) and 2 girls, orange collar - black tuxedo (little Miss I will pee next to the paper), and yellow collar - black (our first born, and she has teeth already, as Jim discovered earlier!) Below are a couple of close up photos of the coats of the available puppies. Once they are 5 weeks old, we should know what coat type they will more than likely end up with. Sarah
