After much thought and soul searching, I have decided to get Sookie spayed and have no more litters from her. Her first litter (of 3 puppies), she had one puppy with an underbite, one with a hernia and I have recently heard that the other puppy is going in for surgery on his 2 knees for luxating patella. As you can imagine I am very saddened by this as my aim has always been to breed healthy puppies that are a good example of the breed.
The health of all puppies I produce comes above everything else, and this is definitely the right thing to do
Thank you all for your support.
I'm still getting loads of enquiries for puppies this year. My waiting lists are currently only open to family/friends and to those who have been recommended by one of my puppy owners.
Nothing else has changed. Sookie's season is still due around June time, and Polly end of July/Aug/Sept (who can tell with her!)
All dogs are well and enjoyed the recent snow.
