Time flies!

Well, the puppies are 11 weeks old today, and have all settled beautifully into their new homes. I am getting updates regularly from all the owners, and I am so grateful for this, it has made the whole process so much easier to see how happy everyone is.

Polly is doing brilliantly, especially now she has come to terms with the fact her babies have all flown the nest. She seemed a little lost for the first few days after Mokka had gone, but soon slipped back into a more normal routine.

Max missed his little playmates at first, but has also settled down now. He had an accident a couple of weeks ago and managed to get a massive nail right through his paw! Luckily the vets were open so I took him straight down and left him there over night for an operation to remove it. He has healed up perfectly and has been treated to a pamper in the Groom Room at Pets at Home, so is now looking very smart and clean!

Toby has made himself at home. He certainly missed his little friends at first, but he adapted really quickly and was quiet at night after a couple of days of crying. All 3 dogs now sleep in the dog room - Toby is in the crate and pen and Max & Polly have the rest of the room.

Sookie is coming to join us next month, so I will put up another crate and hopefully move Toby into that so Sookie can have the extra room with the pen for toileting. Toby is usually dry over night (not always!) so I am hoping in the next few weeks it will become every night...

Indie (purple collar) is coming for a sleepover next week, and I am so looking forward to seeing her again! I wonder if she will remember me?!

Jim has been working on a second dog room, which will have it's own outside space and we are now looking into putting a grooming area in there too, which will be much easier than using the shower upstairs for the dogs! I'll put some pictures up soon, as it is starting to take shape.

I have been getting lots of interest in Polly's next litter already, and have around 12 names down on my mailing list. At this rate, she is going to need to have 20 puppies!!

That's all for now. I will try and update here more regularly, but I do post quite a bit on my Facebook page :)
